Last fall I was lucky enough to take a wax carving course with Kate Wolf. It was very hard at first. When you are making something you are always adding things. With wax carving you are always taking away. That took some getting used to. But this year I was able to make some rings and pendants in time for the shows. I was very happy with the results. Check them out.
I have also been taking some workshops in stone cutting. This is really fascinating, but hard. I am still working on getting all of the unforseen scratches out, but coming along nicely. Hopefully soon I will have some agate ready.

This weekend has been very busy. I want to thank everyone who has supported me at the PEI Christmas Craft Fair. I hope everyone enjoys their jewelry as much as I do. Thank you. I also want to thank a very kind couple who gave me their vintage jewelry so that I could make something with it. The pearl bracelets belonged to their Grandmother and Mother. It is very much appreciated.
Vintage jewelry is my passion. Love all aspects of it. It is like a treasure hunt for the perfect piece. |
